I am personally extremely irritated by the kneeling but I am trying to mentally separate GoT and asoiaf lol ELSE I WILL JUST BE MAD ALL THE TIME but looking at the medium is at least interesting. Though they could've just had a scene beforehand which would've made it obvious she didn't want to kneel SIGH

yeah, I try to do the same, but when it comes to how characters behave, it’s so much harder than when events change. and yeah, a line to Shae while she was getting ready would have explained things to everyone.

Oh no, what happened?

well there’s this hill start/junction that is the WORST because you can’t see anything coming from the left, and it’s a proper creep-creep-creep forward, and I’d worked out which test route I was doing about 3 miles back because there’s only one that goes that way, so I was freaking out about it anyway. Got to the top, stalled about 4 times, fifth time I forgot to put it in gear, so I rolled back about half a centimetre before slamming the brake on, but the woman behind me (who was plenty far back) then decided to reverse about 20 metres (and it was her reversing that failed me). Anyway, I then spent the rest of the test really on edge, so emergency stopped for a just-turned-amber traffic light, ended up over the line and that was a major too.

so annoyed though, because of that turn being on the independent driving bit - I wish so much I’d deliberately taken a wrong turn and gone in the opposite direction, because then I think I would have passed.

guess who just failed her driving test on the stupidest thing? so pissed off at myself.

good luck! I’m an awful driver and I passed first time ha! Just tell as minimal people as possible and try to remain calm, you can do it :)

I’ve literally told everyone I know (short of posting it on Facebook) haha

so I got back my Osteology test and it says to check the answers and make sure you have the correct mark.

they gave me too many marks though.

so do I go and say something and hope they let me keep the marks for being honest (I didn’t get marks for wrong answers, but they didn’t take marks off for negatively marked ones? Like a question was “identify and side this bone” it was a left fibula, I said right fibula and have 1 mark - but they said they were taking marks off if we got the side wrong - so I ought to have no marks for that question)

or do I not say anything and then hope they never go back over the test papers and notice?

just had my pre-placement meeting, where we basically got briefed on what the Dig was going to be like (I’m an archaeologist in case anyone didn’t know)

I’m in the finds hut, with only 5 other people (and our main supervisor guy). The dig area this year is 50x90m, and the finds so far just from taking the “non-archaeological” layers off are fucking amazing like we have coins, metal working evidence, glass, jewellery; all kinds of things.

Over the next 5 weeks (starting Tuesday), the 6 of us have to sort, clean and record everything they find. We can’t have any unprocessed finds at the end of the dig and ideally we need to sort out the backlogs of stuff from last year and the year before. We also need to be out around the site making sure nothing important gets thrown away.

It’s going to be manic as fuck.
